Paul Matthew Capra’s filmmaking inspiration began at an early age with skate/surf films in Southern California. He started film school in 2004 as an editor for music videos, but quickly found passion in directing. Paul sat behind the TV Director James Burrows (Director of Will & Grace/ Gary Unmarried) in 2006 & 2009. “I admire Jimmy, he’s being doing it for so long it’s like watching a conductor. He manages time extremely well, he’s always on cue, and his crew respects him highly.”

Paul graduated from Brooks Institute in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Film. He immediately began directing music videos, but decided that advertising is where his heart lies, specifically car commercials. His unique, edgy style and keen sense of timing make him a strong rival with those in his field. “I’m a visual person, if it doesn’t feel right I’m usually not happy and end up tweaking until it is. I love being risky and I’m not afraid to try new things.” Capra has spent the last 3 years ambitiously directing commercials and building relationships with clients in the commercial industry.
